After all the problems Saturday, I discovered that none of the news links embedded in my posts works anymore. So I’ve spent the whole afternoon trying to get that fixed so that they work from now on.
But first we have to see if anything we’ve done today has worked at all.
If not, that unearthly sound you hear is me screaming.
Some things never change Patty 2026
How did we ever live without the frustration and nonsense of computers? I get very tired of the nonsense caused by some of these software updates.
Ah, the dreaded updates.
It’s become a scam. Microsoft is trying to pry more money from me because my copy of MS Office is several years old now, and they refuse to update it any longer. Fair ‘nogh, but it works just fine, as it is.
Apropos of that–I thought this computer had windows 11, but it is windows 10 and they have just stopped support for it. I don’t think I could mentally survive the experience of a new OS right now.
I’ve worked with 11, and it isn’t that bad.
I understand, but it is just one more thing to pile on right now.
That “mandatory” update schedule certainly seems to come along at times convenient only to the software makers.
It’s always at their convenience.
They think that they own your computer.
