In a Laundromat:
AUTOMATIC  WASHING MACHINES: PLEASE REMOVE ALL YOUR CLOTHES WHEN THE LIGHT GOES  OUT           (??????)

In a London department store:
BARGAIN  BASEMENT UPSTAIRS

In  an office:
WOULD  THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE STEP LADDER YESTERDAY PLEASE BRING IT BACK  OR FURTHER STEPS WILL BE TAKEN

    Years ago, we had a radiator repair shop on a corner in our town. The sign in front of their business read: “Best place to take a leak” 🙂

  3. English was never my favorite subject in school, but some of these signs must have been written by people who had a very tenuous relationship with the English tongue. 🙂
