In a Laundromat:
AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINES: PLEASE REMOVE ALL YOUR CLOTHES WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT (??????)
In a London department store:
BARGAIN BASEMENT UPSTAIRS
In an office:
WOULD THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE STEP LADDER YESTERDAY PLEASE BRING IT BACK OR FURTHER STEPS WILL BE TAKEN
Now those really are funny. Nice change of pace from all the doom and gloom, fighting and hatred. My first laugh of the day.

Years ago, we had a radiator repair shop on a corner in our town. The sign in front of their business read: “Best place to take a leak” 🙂
A sign in our town: “Family Cue Center in Rear.”
Our best sign was “Fried Carpet.” Huh???
English was never my favorite subject in school, but some of these signs must have been written by people who had a very tenuous relationship with the English tongue. 🙂
