  1. Every living thing is a miracle. While animals don’t have the sake faculty of speech as humans, they do let us know, and the connection we can establish with them can be very profound.

    This donkey is all personality, and a fine fellow. I admire the lady who cares for him, and obviously loves him. Earlier today, my cat and I had a play fight. Every so often, she’ll bristle and pretend to take a swipe at me, a swipe that never actually connects. I retaliate by touching one of her rear feet, and the fight is on. Five minutes of feigned feline indignity and mock attacks. It looks real, but it’s her paying me her highest compliment, treating me as if I were another cat. A few minutes later, she came back and licked the back of my hand, a show of affection. Two hours later, she is resting against me and purring. It’s all about connection, and both of us are happy for one another’s simple companionship. This is from God.
