Pet Rabbit Meets Wild Rabbit

    1. For sure. I had to go to town today, and when I came home, there was a cottontail taking shelter under my pickup. He watched carefully as I drove in, but he stayed put, and was there later when I took the trash out. Such a beautiful and delicate little creature in this desert.

    2. I sure do. Cottontails are abundant here, although you don’t see them year round, for some reason. Desert Hares are amazing, over twice as large as the Cottontails, and very fast, but they are gentle and have a soft face just like domestic rabbits. I had one using my vehicle for shade for several days, a few years back. He kept an eye cast in my direction, but didn’t bolt when I went outside.

There’s a fairly new YouTube channel from Japan about a beautiful dwarf rabbit named Usa Chan, AKA the “Bundozer”, who loves to excavate and dig burrows.
