Every Memorial Day Saturday we would watch Jaws, to officially start our summer. Jaws was a very important movie to us, one of our favorites and tied in with a lot of memories. When we would go out in our little rowboat, Lee would always sing “Farewell and Adieu to You Fair Spanish Ladies”. We didn’t go anywhere on the weekend itself because of the traffic, but we would get seafood from the Keyport Fishery (gee, how I miss that). We had not done that in the last year (or two) because Lee’s hip was too painful and he couldn’t do the drive.
This day is not like Memorial Day should be,
weather wise–gray raining off and on and really cold. Feels more like October than May.
They stopped the fireworks a few years ago due to budgetary restrictions, but it was just as well because the noise would really upset the cats and downtown (where they shot them off) is really close to our apartment.
Aside from that, not much news.
I did talk to my brother in law and my sister in law today and they are both doing fine.
Have a good night, all.
See you tomorrow.
God bless everybody.

Memories. Find a way to observe and let that serve as a reminder of all tnat has come before.
