In stark contrast to the past two days, today I did zero jobs. Took a complete day off and it felt good. Can’t risk burnout. I felt fine, but had zero ambition and just decided to go with the flow and take it easy.
It has gotten hot, and it’s going to get a lot hotter.
That I am not looking forward to. It’s only supposed to be for a couple of days (and that’s enough).
I read about these privately owned drones causing havoc at airports.
I might be wrong, but isn’t the air space around airports considered off limits? The owners of the drones should be heavily fined as they (the drones) can cause real havoc if they collide with planes.
Too many people have too much money and too little brains.

Nothing wrong with a day off.
That drone thing really bothers me. A small hobby drone can, at the very least, damage an aircraft, and if it collided with the plexiglass windshield of a light aircraft, could literally cause a death. This is personal. I carry two Airman’s Certificates, and have had the rules of aviation safety taught to me, and I’ve been tested on this knowledge. Drones belong nowhere near airports. There was a drone strike during the Pacific Palisades fire, which took a firefighting aircraft out of commission, when it was most needed.
IMO, anything capable of getting more than 50 feet off the ground should require a license, and that certificate number should be electronically attached to any drone that person flies. If they cause a problem, they should face the same penalties as any other pilot. I had to take responsibility for my actions before becoming certificated and if my actions caused harm, I could be in big trouble. Why should drone hobbyists get a free pass?
They have to be licensed and traceable.
… and hopefully accountable.
