This seems quite familiar..I don’t think I actually posted it before, but if I did, I’m sorry. There are just so very many of these stories out there–how a lovely animal can be scared to death, yet learn to trust and love people anyway.

People think that domestic animals are equipped to fend for themselves, but that is usually not the case, and animals abandoned like that can end up traumatized by the experience. I think that the other little dog made a big difference.
My daughter’s one dog is very frightened of thunderstorms. Her other dog will sit by him and comfort him.
It’s amazing how animals will lend support and comfort like that.
