These are starting to be seen in my town, too.  Not very many, but they are in the street, where they do not belong.  Sooner or later they will be a real problem

  1. Motorcycles are dangerous and e-bikes usually not as well equipped as regular motorcycles with regards to braking, and suspension. Learning to ride a motorcycle takes time and should include some serious training. I rode, at one time, but decided that it was too dangerous and quit street riding. A few years later, I gave up dirt-bike riding, as well.

    A few years back, I attended the funeral of a friend who was killed on a motorcycle. He was a mature, responsible, accomplished person whose judgment I trusted, but even that wasn’t enough. Someone in their teens, with no training, no driver’s license, no motorcycle endorsement and no insurance is in a much more precarious situation. These kids have no idea what they are doing.

    IMO, these products are not a good idea.
