So these two guys–not wearing suits, dressed like they were on their way to go fishing–claiming to be FBI agents–but refusing to show their credentials when asked–showed up at this Oklahoma woman’s front door to “question” or “talk to you” about some posts she put on Facebook. At issue, floridly pro-Hamas, anti-Israel comments… which, however distasteful they may be to most of us, she has a Constitutional right to hold and express her opinion.
But there was something VERY fishy about this supposed FBI visit. FBI agents wear suits; these guys didn’t. Who ever heard of agents refusing to show their badges, their credentials, when asked? There was a woman with them who never said a word: who was she? And all this malarkey about “We have screen shots of your posts” and “just trying to keep everybody safe.”
The nearby FBI field office said, “We can never open an investigation based solely on First Amendment-protected activity.” Honk if you believe him.
I remember a time when support for Hamas (it was the Palestine Liberation Organization, PLO, back then) was virtually unthinkable, and certainly politically impossible. Now the American Left is head-over-heels in love with Hamas & Co. This should not have been allowed to happen. While normal people went about their business, Far Left crazies poisoned our culture.
It’s gonna be quite a job to clean it up.
