The Neverending Pain in the Tuchas

Well, now I’ve got to mosey on down to the bank, where I can sit around and collect cobwebs while waiting for Aunt Joan’s bank statements from three months before she died, because–it’s been over a year since we buried her–the government wants more paperwork.

It’s not like she left any money. She died broke. Her heirs will inherit nothing. So why can’t they drop it already?

Well, they have to find something for all that bureaucracy to do, don’t they? Otherwise we might wonder why our taxes have to keep on funding it.

Really, I can’t imagine who benefits by this. Except the bureaucracies.
