Last year, in the Global Ebook Awards, I won a bronze medal for Bell Mountain.
I have just been informed that this year I’ve won a silver medal for The Cellar Beneath the Cellar (Book 2 of the series)!
Does that mean that next year I’ll win a gold medal for The Thunder King? Well, I can always hope.
I don’t have all the details yet, except for the fact that they considered many hundreds (or even thousands) of books in all sorts of different categories, and had 205 judges. That strikes me as a lot of judges.
If you haven’t read Cellar yet–well, what are you waiting for?

Congratulations! You are a champion. I always knew that from reading your articles, now it is proof nobody can dispute.
I just wish my mother could have been here for this, Erlene. It took her a long time to make up her mind, because it’s hard to be impressed by somebody whose diapers you used to change. But she became a great believer in these books of mine. She told me so, the day she died.
Very well done Lee. Told you your books were great.
Thanks, Borg–it’s always gratifying to get some kind of official recognition.
Congratulations! I enjoyed the first two books immensely, and I hope the rest continue to gain success.
Please don’t be shy about moving on to #3, The Thunder King!
I definitely will! I just have so much on my reading list, but I will read it as soon as I can.
I’ve read all but your last book and I can see why you would have gotten two great awards. That ought to help them sell. Have you considered having an author’s “signing” event? I think that might be a way to introduce your book to more people and book sellers do like those kinds of things in their stores. The more you sell, the more you sell! And I hope that keeps happening. All your work should soon pay off. My “fans” tell me authors don’t get recognition ’til after…. Let’s hope we don’t experience that!
(I have a question: what is that ugly looking bug doing beside my e-mail address below?)
The ugly-looking bug is your avatar, courtesy of WordPress, not me. There’s a way of replacing it with a picture of yourself or anything else, but I have no idea how to do that.
