Hymn, ‘The Church’s One Foundation’

How about an old-fashioned hymn to wash out the taste of that last news story I posted? I’m sorry for the bad news, but I think we have a duty to know what we’re up against.

The Church’s One Foundation–sung by the King’s College Choir, Cambridge–is, of course, Jesus Christ Our Lord. Not works of the flesh. Not even good works. Not our own righteousness, because we have only the righteousness of Jesus Christ, imputed to us by God’s sovereign grace.

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.”    I Corinthians 1:30

  1. Thank you, Lee. Yes, the evil taste of the world in one’s mouth is difficult to take, but as Christians we do have a duty to watch and warn. What saddens me is that so many refuse to listen.

  2. That was comforting, uplifting and yes, washes away a lot of the garbage
we are subjected to every day.
