‘The Year’s Best Movie’–Really?

Image result for burning building

A thing called Moonlight has won the never-heard-of-it-before-today Gotham Independent Film Award, and has the senile New York Times excitedly asking, “Is this the year’s best movie?” ( http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/21/movies/moonlight-review.html )

Of course they’re exulting. It’s a movie about black homosexuals. The only way they could’ve been more pleased would’ve been if all the characters in the movie were in America illegally.

We may have won an election, but our culture’s still a burning building. And not just ours, but Western culture as a whole. A hundred years of secularism has gutted the nations’ souls.

Again, we are expected to applaud and celebrate sin, and hand out awards for it, and make like God’s laws don’t exist.

O Lord our God, remember that these things are done without our consent and against our will. We have inherited this mess from earlier generations and we don’t know how to clean it up. We pray for your guidance. We pray that with the help of the Holy Spirit we shall remain faithful, in this evil age. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
