‘For Unto Us a Child is Born’

This is part of Handel’s Messiah, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra; and for once I can give you the lyrics.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace…      –Isaiah 9:6

Thank you. This is one of the song sung by the glee club at the high school I attended way back then…before such things were forbidden in schools.

THAT is Christmas music and very well done. No red-nose reindeer, no Frosty the Snowman, no Santa Claus, and no jingling bells.
