Chorus: “Christ shall have dominion over land and sea, Earth’s remotest regions shall His empire be.” Sing it out, sing it loud. You already know the tune. It’s “Onward, Christian Soldiers,” both hymns using the melody composed by Arthur Sullivan, published in 1871. It’s the same Sullivan of Gilbert & Sullivan fame.
Sung here by the congregation at the First OPC in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.
Thank you, Lee.
As I’ve requested the same worship song for my birthday for the past couple of years – 70 today 🙂 – I’d like to keep with the tradition and request it again, and tomorrow will be perfectly fine. “Praise The Lord” by Chris Christian. Thanks, Lee.
Happy birthday, Linda! Many extra prayers for you today.
Thank you, Phoebe 🙂
Happy Birthday, Linda! You shoulda told us earlier. I can post that hymn this afternoon.
For some reason I always thought the Salvation Army wrote this song. We need more “church militant” hymns. “The Church’s One Foundation” is a good one!
Let me post that one tomorrow morning.
Thank you so much, Lee 🙂
