Looking out my bedroom window this morning, with the birds calling, with the trees coming into leaf, and an April shower gently falling, I felt like I really had to have this hymn today: For the Beauty of the Earth.
I chose this video, from “Children’s Scripture Memory Hymns,” for the photos, many of which bring me back to beautiful, real places that I’ve known, most of them now all paved over and destroyed, but preserved, I pray, in the Kingdom of God who created them and loved their beauty in the first place.
Such small voices lifted up in praise – lovely! And God’s good earth in the video – beautiful! Thank you, Lee.
I learned this hymn in Sunday School, and I still often sing it spontaneously it is such a big part of me. Thanks Lee!
Beautiful. We do have so much to be thankful for.
