Cats do things that can be pretty hard to explain. It is said of Thutmosis III that he understood cats better than any human ever, but that his profound knowledge of their ways died with him.

I did have a cat that did this, and it rather surprised me but it was very amusing and very cute. Mine walked around on two feet at times, looking into things that were out of view for him when on all fours.
I have assumed that people trained them to do that. No?
I didn’t train mine. I would never have thought of it. He just decided he
needed to be taller, I guess.
