Amuse a Cat Today

Admit it–when you watch a cat playing, don’t you wish that you could move like that?

The cat in this video is amused by balls, the more, the merrier. He gathers them up, but he’s too excited to keep them all in one place. My cats don’t give a hang for balls. The thing that really turns them on is bugs, and one is naturally averse to bringing too many of those into one’s home. I wish I could get them to play with fuzzy balls. The cats, that is; not the bugs.

  1. I would be happy if I just had a fraction of that energy. Wow, I can barely get through the necessary tasks in a day until I can collapse.

  2. Sorry, I don’t care for clams of any kind any time. I know, most people think I’m crazy, but I just don’t like much sea food at all. Just like most people think it would be groovy to go to Hawaii– not me. Never had the slightest urge to go there, just call me nuts. I can’t help it.

    1. They’re comfort food to me.
As for travel, the only place I want to go is back into the past. Before the world went insane.

    2. The trouble with going back to the past is that you’d then have to live through all lead-up to the insanity again, and you’d still wind up in it after all — unless you kept recycling a point in the past a la Groundhog Day, which after a while would get tedious. Of course, you could also keep resetting your mind to not knowing what’s coming next, but then you’d keep wishing for something you anticipate in the future. So you’d never be satisfied.

Besides, if you go back to the past, you’ll have all that much longer to wait before you go to Heaven.

    3. I know. I often feel the same way: “Oh, if only I could go back to those days when….” But then I, too, remember that I’d have to do all the later days over again. Besides (I also have to remind myself) we’re called to be salt and light wherever we find ourselves. Myself, I’m usually more like vinegar and fog than salt and light, but oh well.

  3. First off, that is a cute kitten. I’ve always been in awe of the beauty of cats. They are some of God’s most beautiful work. It’s great to see it having so much fun.

With regard to seafood, I’m with Erlene. Other than crab or lobster, I don’t eat anything aquatic, unless it is a social necessity. Same goes for Hawaii, it’s never appealed to me. Much like Lee, I just want away from these wicked times.
