Our cats have always been scared of thunder: under the bed or under the bookcase, and stay there till it’s over. My heart went out to the cat who was cuddling with the bunny when the sky went boom.
Animals know better than to act like violent weather isn’t happening.

Poor little dears. They don’t know what is happening, they just know that loud noise is usually not good news.
I love the sound of thunder. We get a lot of it where I live in Arkansas. My house rabbits show no reaction to it – I guess they feel too secure.
Love those kitties and that fabulous rabbit! Honestly though, dogs are the biggest thunder cowards of all!
My turtle never seemed to be bothered by it, though.
