Cats and dogs not only can learn to be friends; they can also learn to cooperate in doing things they shouldn’t do. These are highly intelligent animals! Much more so than we give them credit for. But I suspect that applies to most animals–don’t you?
I used to have two cats who could jump up and turn door knobs and open doors, and yep, they would let the dog in where he was not supposed to be. Stealing food off the counter and sharing? Nope, mine didn’t do that.
Can you imagine what we’d be faced with, if they had hands?

I saw several amazing things in that video, from the very first clip to the cat rescuing the puppy that had fallen into a pit. What struck me was a real appreciation for one another and a sense of companionship.
