Cats & Beards

I could almost refuse to believe this video. Both our cats have always shunned my beard, never displayed even a moment’s affinity for it. Peep will occasionally wash my forearm for me, and I had a mouse who used to straighten out my mustache–but daddy’s beard? Ugh! Perish the thought.

They might feel differently about it, I suppose, if they had to shave.

  1. A few years back, I grew a winter beard which I kept closely cropped. The lovely cat I had at the time was quite enthusiastic about it and seemed fascinated that I was finally making an effort to grow fur. 🙂 I got lots of kitty kisses when I had that beard.

    1. Poor taste.

Age has turned parts of my beard a very unattractive white and I don’t want to spend the time required to color it, so I shaved it off. If it was gray, or silver, no problem, but instead, it’s sort of an ugly salt & pepper that looks awful and requires a lot of effort to camouflage.
