The little succulent was a gift–“a perfect little plant,” she said–and she put it in her kitchen window and provided it with loving care for two years. She then decided it ought to be in a nicer pot, so she went to remove it from the original pot–only to discover that instead of roots, it rested on a block of Styrofoam.

Oh, fap!

Let us chalk it up as evidence of a kind and loving heart. Surely a real, live plant would have prospered for her.

And the moral of the story is– Well, your guess is as good as mine.

  1. What I wonder about is why anyone making a mistake like this would broadcast it to the world.

  2. Being from southern California, we have a plastic palm tree in our living room – it looks real, sort of. We don’t water it. We do talk to our many live plants throughout the house. The moral of the story above is: If you believe it you can have it.
