Robbie Update 3

It’s cancer. The operation is scheduled for Friday. The mass is on the outside of her guts instead of on the inside. Maybe that’s grounds for hope.

This poor cat has been through the wringer, and Patty and me with her. We are not yet entirely recovered from our illness; this day has been very hard to bear, so far. It’s getting so I’m afraid to get up in the morning, in case there’s more bad news waiting to pounce on us.

I think I’ll post a hymn, then knock off to do a crossword puzzle.

  1. I’m sorry to hear that, Lee, but at least there’s hope. You were with me when my cat got sick, a bit over 4 years ago, and I want you to know that I care and am with you, 100%.

    1. It’s been a rough year, but you will get through it. You’re a good man, Lee, and you take good care of your pets. That’s all anyone can expect. You remain in my prayers.

  2. I hate to think of a dear cat having surgery to endure, but as you say, it sounds a bit hopeful. Our God is a healing God.

  3. I’m so sorry, Lee! You’ve really been having a tough year all around. I know I haven’t been posting much, but I’ve been keeping up with the daily digests and sending lots of prayers your way behind the scenes. It worries me to no end that you and Patty are still not well after all this time! Do the doctors have any idea what could linger so long? I hope that both of you, and dear little Robbie, all get better soon! We lost one of our cats to cancer in 2019, but it was in her bones and she was almost 19 years old, so there really wasn’t anything that could be done to help her. It was just her time. It sounds like they’ve given you hope with surgery as an option. I can’t imagine life without pets, even when our hearts break with worry over them. We need them, and they need us, and I know Robbie is in good hands with you and Patty taking such good care of her. I’ll keep on praying!

    1. I think the thing that’s holding me back from full recovery is… I have to keep going to stores, etc. On Monday, in really cold, wet weather, I had to go to five different stores. Plus there’s incessant stress and no rest. Other than that, it’s tickitty-boo.

      Thanks for your prayers, Alllison.
