Birds (and humans) elicit some odd vocalizations from cats. I wonder what they mean.
I’ve heard there’s a cat that can do Minnie Minoso imitations, but I don’t believe it. Then again, who would ever tell such a hopeless lie?

That chattering sound, such as the first cat, is something I would associate with either excitement, or frustration, when there is a bird so close, and yet so far, separated by a pane of glass. Beyond that, there are a wide range of vocalizations, out there. The cat I lost five years ago could express herself very subtly, but she also had the “Siamese voice”, which sounds like something you’d hear a millisecond before being attacked. 🙂
And then there’s the legendary “mrowr” that comes just before the hairball…
I’ve heard that one too often. 🙂
