(Heh-heh-heh-heh….!)
So we went to the doctor yesterday and yep, it’s a hernia, all right–surgery required! But not yet. Not so fast there, Patricia. First comes a cascade of bureaucracy. Sign this, sign that, go to this office, go to that office… and sometime down the road they will actually do the surgery.
For the time being, however long that is, Patty can’t lift anything; and she’d better lay off the bungee-jumping and the break-dancing, too.
We’d appreciate your prayers.
I feel goulish about leaving a “like” here, since I don’t like the news at all. But I’m glad you’re keeping us posted, and of course I’m keeping both Patty and you in my prayers. Have they given Patty what my grandparents used to call a “killie bendle” to ease the pain and help her do some tasks more easily? (A killie bendle, almost literally a hernia band, was a kind of mini-girdle, really a broad strap, that held the herniated part still and braced.)
She was kind of hoping they would, but the doctor said he never prescribes them.
Prayers sent up
Prayers fo Patty. May the surgery be done soon and the results successful.
Thank you, Dave.
