Cats & Butterflies

What could be more attractive to a cat than a nice fluttering butterfly (say that ten times fast)? There are mechanical butterflies available for those who are soft-hearted about such things. We don’t require mechanical cats to chase them.

  1. My mother had an Abyssinian cat who loved to chase butterflies on the enclosed patio of her apartment when we lived in Baton Rouge. With his big butterfly ears and his lithe Abyssinian body, when he jumped and leaped after the butterflies he looked almost like a butterfly himself.
