If the cats were bigger, of course, they could just knock the aquarium over and snap up the fish at their leisure. I’ve never experimented with how much oomph it takes to knock over a fish tank. Somewhere there’s a cat who knows.

Years ago, we had a 55 gallon tank. Fresh water and salt, not at the same time. We had two cats and two dogs. Our cats never bothered our tank.
