Cute video aside, I don’t think everyone’s cut out to have a pet raccoon. It would seem you’d have to tolerate a fair degree of chaos, and not mind having to clean up a mess you’d already cleaned up half an hour ago. Other than that…

Racoons are certainly cute little critters, but I never had any desire to make a pet
out of them. Cats and dogs are about all I can handle, and even that is difficult
at times.

Probably, when I was young, I would have liked the turtle. There were quite a few in the area
where I grew up, and I played with them.
