Why does this little duckling try to hard to stay awake? There’s a conversation in the background: maybe it’s about him. I couldn’t tell. I think it would’ve put me to sleep no matter how hard I tried to stay awake.

Ha ha, that amuses me. It also reminds me of myself trying to stay awake and quit
falling asleep in my chair during the day.
What a cute little guy. He was sure tying to stay awake. How wondrous the works of our Creator are.
Our God created all; animal, bird and fish of the sea
He made it all, meadow grass and lemon tree,
All on earth are running free, but the only ones with
will to act are you and me.
I like that.
It’s a “quack nap”. 😴 😊
In the Navy, we used to call these kinds of naps “touch and go” , after the aircraft training exercises where new pilots would practice landing without coming to a full stop and taxiing in; instead they’d just take off again.
You made my day. From now on, if I find my eyelids getting heavy in late afternoon, I’ll just grab my logbook and write in that I was practicing touch and goes. 🙂
That sounds exciting.
