Pump up those grades! Ain’t Higher Education grand?
[Thanks to “Ohio Chess Fan” for the nooze tip]
Employers, beware–the college hot-shot you’re thinking of hiring might not have earned those As and Bs. The corners he cut in college will be corners he cuts working for you.
Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, has fired an economics professor after… um, students complained his class was too hard and he was mean to them and wouldn’t give them the high grades they came to college for, blah-blah (https://www.foxnews.com/media/professor-says-fired-refusing-inflate-grades-totally-against-supposed).
When he refused to inflate his students’ grades, the school did it anyway and then fired the prof. There’s no lawsuit yet, but there could be, soon.
Spelman is a historically black college, the oldest liberal arts school for women in America.
Do you actually have to show up before they give you an A?
This sad. Although I found the classes I took at the University of Arkansas in earning a BA to be pretty easy, I still had to show up and do the work.
To show how “rigorously academic” they are, they fired the professor for BEING rigorously academic. “Education” is turning into a joke.
