I wonder what happened to this little fad from five years ago–eating Tide detergent pods. Some idiots died for that. All the others got very sick.

Halloo out there! Anybody still eatin’ Tide pods?
I’d like to hear from some kook who actually took “the Tide pod challenge.”
Ok. Let me write this down; DON’T eat Tide Pods. That’s useful information and might even improve my digestive health. Who could have imagined such a thing? 🙂
When Covid was at just “2 weeks to flatten the curve”, there were people posting challenge videos of themselves licking toilet bowls and doorknobs in public places.
Gotta wonder what’s wrong with people.
Uh… quite a bit.
2 Thess 2:9 “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
As I understand this, when people reject their Creator, they place themselves in a position where they are separated from Him. They are apart from His love, and His wisdom. They adopt their own purposes in life and in many cases, they orient themselves to the frivolous. There are people, today, who think that the most important thing in life is the number of people who follow you on social media. There are people that think this peer acceptance is important. It’s not.
Everyone wants to be accepted, and to have friends, but it’s much more important to be accepted by God, by means of Christ’s blood. We need the trappings of our day-to-day life, but much more, we need the eternal value of salvation, which comes only through Christ.
Do you want to impress me by swallowing a toxic product encased in a sealed plastic bag? I’ll be impressed, but “impressed” can be a negative impression, just as easily as a positive one. Yes, I’ll be impressed, but I’ll probably avoid such a person from then on, assuming that they even survive their impressive feat.
As I continue my studies, I become evermore greatly convinced that much of the insanity we see around us is of demonic origin. Think about it, these creatures do not love humanity. I suspect that they enjoy watching human suffering and consider every early demise a victory for their cause. Let me state that again, differently; they want us dead. Not only that, but if they can permanently alienate is from God, that is their highest possible achievement. They are doomed, and they know it, but they can sure make a lot of trouble in the meantime.
All God has to do, in order to send a strong delusion is allow someone to be influenced by Satanic/Demonic forces. That’s it. It’s no different from meeting someone who is taking a dangerous course in life, and eventually withdrawing from association with them, because you know that they will come to a bad end, left to their own devices, and you don’t want to be there when they crash and burn. I’ve literally had to do this, with certain friends and business associates, and if someone rails against all sense, eventually God will step back, and leave such a person to their own devices. Without God, the forces of evil have free rein, and the outcome is inevitable.
I think of two cousins; both of whom lived immorally, abused alcohol, and abused drugs. Both died young, from suicide. Both had an abundance of pride, and both lived a sawtooth pattern of success and poverty. They were raised in an environment similar to mine, and both were brought up with at least some exposure to the Bible, but both made bad choices, throughout their life. I do not relish the death of either of these people, but if their eternal prospects are permanently bad, I will not mourn that loss, either. People choose their eternal fate.
Secular humanism, Godlessness, has evolved into a death cult.
Ultimately, refusing to acknowledge our God is a death cult move. The forces of evil, want us to die.
The latest fad among the young is being a Fuzzie – identifying as animal. That seems ironic since they have been programmed to think of themselves as advanced animals created by evolution.
I’ve posted a few items about Furries. It’s yet another symptom.
