What can I do to amuse my cat today? I know! Bring in a shovelful of snow and dump it on the floor so he can play with it. This is probably something a husband and wife should agree on before they try it.

Well, ha ha, that’s kinda funny. At our house, we certainly don’t need to bring snow in for the critters to play with cause they bring in tons of it on their feet, and fur. Then, they shake it all over me before I can get them cleaned off. Not fun.
Now see, if you had pet iguanas, you wouldn’t have this problem. Or at least not for long.
Why not just the cat outside and really experience snow. That’s what we did with our house rabbits they loved it – for a while that is.
The cat probably ordered them to do it.
The cat undoubtedly ordered them to do it. 🙂
We’ve somehow survived another harsh Arizona winter, and I don’t see any sub-freezing temps forecast for the rest of the month. But that week when the temps got down to 20 overnight was pretty rough. My tan really suffered. 🙂
We actually had a couple of inches of snow, about two weeks ago, and it lasted several days, which is unheard of, in these parts. So my cat didn’t get to check out the snow this year, but on occasion I’ve let her out, under close supervision, to have a look at the snow. She was born in cold country, but I don’t know that she ever got to play in the snow as a kitten. When she’s seen snow, she was curious, but that was short lived.
Can’t let cats outside around here. It’s barely safe enough for pedestrians.
Same her, but for different reasons. Not much traffic, but Coyotes are a constant threat to cats.
