You’d better believe it’s denied!
The Ohio Senate has struck a blow for sanity and decency, overriding Gov. Mike DeWine’s asinine veto of a legislative package passed to protect children from “transgender” craziness–including hormones, puberty blockers, and sexual mutilation euphemized as surgery (https://www.missionamerica.com/site/assets/files/1568/jan_2024_vol_4_override_vote_succeeds_in_ohio_senate_children_protected.pdf).
The vote against the governor was 23-9. The new law restricts “gender-affirming medical care” (the other euphemism) and also bars males pretending to be females from competing in women’s sports.
What the devil was the governor thinking? And he calls himself a Republican! What we heard from him was the usual formula, “kids will die if gender-affirming care is not made available!” Quick, chop off all those sexual parts! Evil politicians and “educators” lie to parents, trying to scare them into giving their approval for the surgery, etc. (“Would you rather have a live daughter or a dead son?”) It seems to have become Job One at public grade schools.
As for broad-shouldered hulking males competing against women in sports events–well, now they can’t do that in Ohio. Thank you, Ohio legislature!
The rest of the country needs to catch up.
