My stars! This iguana looks just like the one I had for 17 years. If you raise them right, starting when they’re babies, they can grow up to be wonderful pets. My iguana thought he was a mammal, with dogs and cats for friends. Yes, you do hear of mean, grouchy iguanas–but it’s all in the way they’re raised.
Every animal has its own gifts and most animals have a lot of good in them. That iguana looks like a nice fellow.
Iguana hatchlings are social animals till they’re old enough to go out on their own. Very few lizards have that kind of background. It’s why they can be trained, if you start early.
My iguana was convinced he was a mammal, and his best friends were dogs and cats.
I didn’t realize that. Definitely rare for reptiles.
The hatchlings stay together until they can manage individually.
Creation is amazing. When I was a child, crocodilians were thought of as mindless killing machines, but then someone took a photo of one carrying one of its hatchlings in its mouth. As it turns out, alligators can become fairly tame, although I’m not about to jump into a pond full of crocodiles anytime soon, or even alligators, for that matter.
The young lady in Siberia that has the Luna the Pantera channel on YouTube also has a pet croc’, BTW. She hasn’t done any videos of it, to my knowledge, but she has mentioned it during her leopard videos.
