Do we keep our gas stoves, or are they just lying?
Some sort of good news, for a change.
Last year the Biden mob announced they were coming for our gas stoves. Fifty percent of our stoves, they declared, failed to comply with “efficient energy standards.”
The public rebelled, the House Republicans shot down the scheme, and lo and behold–
Now the mob says well, okay, 97% of your gas stoves already comply (https://legalinsurrection.com/2024/01/biden-administration-dials-way-back-on-its-gas-stove-crackdown/), heh-heh… so we don’t have to take them away from you after all. Ain’t we nice?
As a political scientist, this puzzles me. I can’t believe Democrats ever actually listen to the American people or they wouldn’t do half the things they do. Can’t they just cheat their way through this year’s national elections, as they’ve done before? Why would they suddenly start listening to the plebs?
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth… but are we at all sure they mean what they say?
I’m not.
