Cute Little Owls

I couldn’t resist the owl with the wind-up mouse. I don’t have a lot of experience with owls. Some of them remind me of nice lizards I have known. Anybody out there with a pet owl?

  1. I always thought owls were pretty, but never had a pet owl. They seem to be wise, as they have been portrayed, but I have never messed with them.

  3. That is truly a beautiful thing to see. With care and kind treatment, a lot of animals can become quite friendly. In the big picture, this was meant to be.

  4. Owls are my mother’s favorite birds and she has literally hundreds of owl things that family members have purchased for her over the years, but she never had a pet one. We have a lot of owls where I live but it’s a rare treat to actually see one. Several years ago I found an owlet that had been kicked out of the nest. Since we are fortunate enough to live fairly close to a raptor rescue, I took it there. And the highlight of the nearby Ren Faire is always the raptor show with many owls and even my favorite (next to my chicken girls of course), a raven named Edgar.
