The Dog’s on the Job

Have you ever felt menaced by those metal things that go round and round with clothes inside them? It may be you need a dog to protect you. No one has ever been attacked by a washing machine with a dog on the job.

  1. One must wonder at how animals see the world around them. Animals are not stupid, in any way shape or form, but they do not possess the tool of symbolic language, so they have to organize the things they see and experience differently from how we do. If a small child sees the dryer doing something they don’t understand, a few words of explanation will take away most of the scary element. For an animal, if it moves and they don’t recognize it as harmless, it goes into the same category as any other potential threat they don’t understand. So, given that fact, I’d be barking too.
