Remember the West Point Motto–“Duty, Honor, Country”? Well, the woke brass want to replace it with “Army values” (https://www.westernjournal.com/west-point-changes-mission-statement-removing-values-duty-honor-country/).
Oh, boy. Army values. Why does that sound so deeply sinister? Do we even know what “Army values” are? Selling out a president to the Chicoms, maybe. Or something transgender. It can change from day to day, depending on which nincompoop is in charge. What’s General Silly Milly doing lately?
Naturally there’s been a backlash, so the current honcho sez “Duty, Honor, Country” is included in “Army values.” Gee, I feel safer already.
A Personal Note: In the late Sixties, West Point had the dirtiest judo team in the eastern U.S. I am happy to say our Rutgers judo team, featuring yours truly, gave these jerks a hearty dose of their own medicine and wiped up the mat with them. So there.
Is there anything left of our nation’s values? If so, I don’t know what it would be.
