Not what we expect from a church conference, is it?
At a “Stronger Mens Conference” organized by a megachurch, a man described as “a sword swallower and Vegas performer,” who has also performed as a male stripper, got up on stage and tore off his shirt (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/04/pastor-mark-driscoll-gets-kicked-stage-criticizing-strip/). One of the two organizing pastors objected directly to the audience and was “kicked off the stage” for his pains.
What the dickens is this?
We’ve seen all sorts of crazy things at, um, “church services” lately. Star Wars services, Spider Man services… and now this. Are we sure we want to know what’s next?
This is so sad. I am just now reading through for the 2nd time, the book titled The Restitution of all Things, written by Joseph Farah (founder and CEO of World Net Daily. It is excellent and needed so badly by Christians today. I wish I could afford to buy 100 copies of the book and send one to every church leader I can find.
A local library had cancelled their “Delusional Queen Story Hour” under pressure of losing their funding—small victory—but the news media managed to slip in another little comment under the radar, that the Deluded One also cancelled another schedule appearance… at a local church. I’d say it was unbelievable but I’m working my way through the Chronicles and realize it’s nothing new for the good and wholesome things to slowly be eclipsed by (at first) subtle ”accommodations” until it turns into full-blown perversion.
And you know what happens then…
Whatever happened to reverence for the Lord.
