Why do so many cats sniff human feet? And then they make The Face. They have no choice but to taste what they smell. That’s why The Face.
Holy moly, I’m tired! I DO NOT WANT TO GO ANYWHERE TOMORROW.

I feel exactly the same way. I don’t go anywhere these days anyway, but I do have other
things to do and I don’t feel as if I could do anything. At least that is the way I feel now.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings, eh?
These days I especially try to force myself to go out and Do Something when I don’t feel like going out and doing anything. Everything seems to be wearing out at once, and I’m operating on the principle that in order to keep the battery charged and the parts functioning I have to keep running the engine. (I’m speaking of my aged body, you understand, not my car or my cell phone.) 🙂
Like it or not, I do have to pick up my laundry today. But I am worn out from sitting around the emergency vets’ office.
When cats do that, with the open mouth, from what I’ve read, they are taking in the scent, deeply. They probably don’t find the odors so much offensive, as they do interesting.
They “taste” them with Jacobsen’s Organ, a body part that we don’t have.
