Robbie Report

We were all set to rush Robbie off to the vet’s again this morning, but then Patty changed her mind and canceled. What was the point? We had a solid week of veterinary care, and nothing got any better.

This poor cat. We don’t want to keep stressing her out. There was much too much of that during the week. I see that now. We wish we’d seen it sooner.

She’s totally stopped eating, and it doesn’t look good.

Any prayers you have for us will be appreciated.

  1. So sorry. Of course prayers will continue. Sometimes, we just have to accept things that hurt us since we live in this fallen world. I pray for strength and for peace for you.

    1. We’ve done everything we could, we’re no longer sure that we should have done all that… Leave it in God’s hands.

  2. I continue to pray. Patty is right. Just keep showing Robbie your love to calm her if this is the end. I understand your grief. I’m still mourning Iggy and sometimes reliving his last days with renewed pain.

    1. Prayers continued. I had a somewhat similar situation, some years back. There was a point where she was suffering and the only things we could do would only prolong that, so I chose no more treatment. It’s a hard thing to deal with, but a tragic fact of our fallen world.

  3. Mousekin – So sorry for all of you. Prayers continue. Sweet little Robbie has been your joy. It’s hard to let go, but she may be telling you that she’s tired and wants to sleep. May the Lord strengthen your hearts as you deal with this.

  4. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2. With our first-born, who was with us for only 23 days, we had to make that choice, and we left it in God’s hands. She is buried back in Wisconsin, and her mother is buried here in the Philippines. “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21 May the Lord grant peace to both of you.
