Three years ago, CNN’s Jake Tapper, alleged newsman, lost 75% (!) of his viewing audience.
Tomorrow he gets to moderate a presidential debate.
How is this guy still working?
There is something hugely fishy about that debate. Donald Trump will be walking into a snake-pit. And I don’t know how they’ll stage-manage Biden, who has lately shown a propensity for forgetting why he’s there and just wandering off in a daze. Are there drugs that can make him act normal for an hour or two?
And then there’ll be questions like “How does it feel to be a convicted felon?” and “Have you stopped beating your wife yet?” We know TV noozies. TV news is to journalism as Spam is to haute cuisine.
Has the Lord our God written us off, or will He save us at the last minute?

Trump really had no choice. If he’d refused, no matter how good the reasons (e.g., he was under a gag order and therefore limited in what he’d be able to discuss), they would have trumpeted to the world that he was afraid of facing Joe Biden.
I guess you’re right. I don’t like to admit it, but that does seem to be the case.
I keep seeing the climax of “Shane”… only with the bad guys winning.

Trump has been challenging old Joe to a debate for some time claiming anytime, anywhere, so I guess he had to take what he could get. The whole word will be watching this historic debate (there has never been one this early in the Presidential campaign season). Of course, Sleepy Joe will be on drugs. They would shoot up JFK before his debates with Nixon (please excuse the pun).
The whole world knows that Biden has to be drugged before he can do anything that takes more than 45 seconds.
