Cats have this in common with humans: often they get very, very curious about things better left alone. Like balloons.
We know the balloon will pop if the cat keeps hitting or nipping it. The cat does not know that. Or does he?

that would make a nervous wreck out of me. Some of the packages I have to open make me jump out of my skin. I guess you could say I am as nervous as a cat.
I think that they do know that something will happen, but the loud sound startles them. I noticed that there was one cat with a whole bowl full of balloons and it didn’t get scared when on popped.
