How many people have a pet meerkat (a kind of African mongoose)? They’re very social animals, sort of like prairie dogs. So making friends with a cat seems like it’s on the menu. And we’ve all known cats who wouldn’t mind.

My late husband got such a kick out of watching the movies of meerkats, and they were kind of fun to watch. I never thought about how they would behave with domesticated cats.
That’s a heartwarming tale. In truly peaceful conditions, some very good things can happen.
