Do We Trust Our Nooze Media?

He moonlights as a nooze anchor.

Gee, we were just talking about this a couple hours ago, weren’t we?

Enter the Gallup organization, which has just found “Americans’ trust in media remains at trend low” (https://news.gallup.com/poll/651977/americans-trust-media-remains-trend-low.aspx). Toldja.

Gallup finds that 36 percent of those interviewed have “no trust at all” in the nooze media, and 33 percent “not much.” That’s two out of three. Apparently only Democrats trust the nooze media as a whole. Hmm, I wonder why that is. Where are the Durants when you need ’em?

Oh–and when it comes to the degree to which we trust our institutions, the media and Congress (!) are at the very bottom of the list. Honk if that surprises you.

Gettin’ a little hard to make rational decisions based on information provided by the nooze media, ain’t it? I think it might be because nooze organizations on both sides of the political fence have sort of given up reporting in favor of writing up their wishful thinking. (“Trump by a landslide!” “Harris has it made!” “Everyone agrees with us!” And so on.) Based on totally inaccurate information–we might even say lies and propaganda–our decisions seem more and more like folly.

Gallup seems to think so.
