I wish I could feel how he feels.

I thought I would skate past the worst of the side effects, but nothin’ doin’.Last Thursday they all rose up and crushed me, and I had the most rotten weekend of my entire adult life. No sleep, none at all. It wouldn’t take much to knock me off my perch.

So this afternoon it starts agaim, Chemo & Radiation. One more week, plus two makeup days. What happens next, I have no idea.

Please keep me in your prayers. I need them like never before.

  1. At least you only have 9 more days left. Keep in mind, also, that radiation treatments can have an effect upon how you feel, overall. They are burning away tissue, and while there is not necessarily any physical pain from that process, you body is still dealing with the effects of this tissue being burned. The saving grace is that these treatments will end soon, and you will heal from that point forward, without the side effects of the chemo or the radiation treatments. Just hang in; you are winning.

  2. I continue my prayers for you. Look at how much is behind you now, and how much less is ahead. Hang in there. We’re all with you in prayer on this.

  3. Mousekin – Thanking the Lord for your faith, courage, humor and literary ability as you bring the Lord Jesus to young people through your excellent books. Praying always for you that you will be completely healed and that the discomfort will be removed. May the Lord have His hand on you continually, Lee, encouraging you in every way.

  4. Prayers continue. I’m not doing well either, but I can still pray, do a little reading, and a few
very light chores. I’m grateful for the little I can do, and I will continue to pray for you

  5. My friend at church has been fighting leukemia with chemotherapy and now is leukemia free! I received my latest PET Scan results and no cancer in my back was detected and my PSA is now 0.0. Just hang in there, Lee, there is light at the end of the tunnel of trials with Jesus as our Lord. Besides the chemo pills and shots, I had along the way, I also used the dog dewormer Fenbendazole known for eating cancer cells. They now how tests showing Ivermectin is an eater of cancer cells. If neither of these works at least they are cheap, have been around for ages, and have no side effects.

  6. I suddenly realized I hadn’t seen anything from you in a long time – only to discover that I was no longer “following” you on WP!

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God’s comfort and healing presence surround you.
