“Davos 2025,” globalist fat-heads all, propose to give personhood to geographical features like forests, rivers, valleys, etc. So they’re saying at their ongoing summit in Switzerland (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/01/davos-2025-celebrates-neo-paganist-movement-promotes-giving/).
They’ve been at it for at least five years. Last year Canada listed the Quebec River as “a person under the law.”
It’s not just leftids being crazy. The general idea seems to be to set the stage for lawsuits filed on behalf of rivers and hills, etc.

Lee – I saw this article, too, and had the same incredulous reaction to ANYONE (let alone the egghead “elites” with too much money and time on their hands!) who believes this foolishness. These godless critters are doing just what St. Paul said men would do if they “suppress the truth (about God),”…and “exchange the truth about God for a lie and worship and served the creature” (i.e., Creation) instead. (Romans Chptr. 1:18-25) Global warming is just a part of their “creed”, along with other man-made beliefs they hold to be “sacred.” I think I’ve heard it said, if man doesn’t believe what the Bible says is true, and worships the true God and Creator, then he will worship anything else!

We are in the era of the new paganism. Paganism amounts to worshipping the created, not the Creator. Beyond that, fill in the blank; you name it, and someone will be not only willing to worship it, but will insist that you join in that worship. Ultimately, when we worship anything other than the Creator, we are worshipping evil, and will be influenced by the evil that is the ultimate target of our worship.
The goals of this worship can seem lofty. 2 Corinthians 11 tells us: “14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”
The causes are all around us, and many of them sound good on the surface. We all want the world to be as good as possible, but the execution of these seemingly noble causes almost always goes off the rails. IMO, it is because these plans ignore the Creator, and eventually, it comes to the point where protecting the plan becomes more important than the original goals of the plan.

If someone is beholden to an untrue belief system, they will act in accordance with that belief system, even if those actions are counterproductive. If a belief is truly evil, the results will be truly stupid.
