Who’s Funding American ‘Education’?

Map of Qatar

In case you don’t know where it is. The blue stuff is the Persian Gulf.

Okay, obviously the U.S. taxpayer is getting clobbered but good by school taxes. But that’s not Public Education’s only source of funds.

The U.S. Dept. of Education is being sued to release information on Qatar’s multi-billion-dollar grants to American universities and public schools (https://www.jpost.com/american-politics/article-840367).

Betcha the vast majority of Americans never heard of Qatar and couldn’t find it on a map. It’s this itsy-bitsy peninsula that juts out from Saudi Arabia and floats upon a huge reserve of oil.

And although Qatar likes to present itself as a “moderate” Arab state–that act has been pretty successful over the years–they also like to grant funds to Hamas and other terrorist groups… not to mention bribing European Union bigwigs.

Anyhow, here are the universities (according to the lawsuit) taking Qatar’s payola: sort of like crooked disc jockeys in the 1950s (remember that?)–Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, Harvard, and University of Michigan.

Plus a bunch of public schools in California.

Hot dog.
