1 Million Subscribers Dump Disney-Plus

SNOW WHITE – Teaser Trailer (2025) Gal Gadot & Rachel Zegler 'Live Action' Movie | Disney+

Face it, America: DisneyCorp just doesn’t like you.

The headline says it all, but here’s a little more. Following a price hike a few months ago, DisneyCorp has lost $1.1 billion (11% loss) and experienced “an exodus of advertisers” (https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2025/02/05/disney-streaming-service-sheds-1-million-subscribers-following-price-hike/). And subscriptions are down.

Once again we see a Far Left entity, Disney, taking a beating because it refuses to align itself with the public–its potential customers. Do they make any effort to give the public what it wants? See the Snow White trailers… if they haven’t been yanked and buried already.

Here’s what’s what. The Far Left despises the American people and thinks its barf-baggable spokespersons can somehow shame us into embracing open borders, transgender, defunding the police, and censoring everybody six ways from Sunday.

They couldn’t be more wrong.

  1. Some of these entities are so convinced of the rightness of their convictions that it is inconceivable to them that they might not be right. I’d be surprised of any of such hardcore true believers will ever shake off this illusion.

As to Disney, Al, that remains is the name. Walt Disney, himself, wasn’t some saint, but he understood that wholesome entertainment was a large market, and under his guidance, his companies produced some very good material. The brand identity was trusted by many parents, for many years.

But Walt Disney died long ago, and the Disney brand has been managed by a succession of corporate leaders, all of whom imposed their own values upon the brand. I sincerely doubt that the damage will ever be undone.

I feel no sympathy for companies which leave behind the values of their customer base, and end up paying the financial penalty.

    1. There must be some reason why these nincompoops are so sure we’ll go dancing after them… straight into the tar pit. But it might not be possible to work out what it is.

    2. Years ago, I realized that just because someone was on a television or movie screen, that didn’t equate to their being worthy of attention. I see broadcast television as having convinced people to watch, even if there’s nothing on that is of interest or value. People will complain about the quality of programming, but it never occurs to them to just shut off their TV.

People stand in line to see new movie releases on opening day. Sometimes they dress up as movie characters and a lot of energy is expended upon publicly demonstrating one’s fandom. It’s a movie, not a life changing event! Well, at least it shouldn’t be. It’s sickening to see such things, but people will go out of their way to see a new movie on the day of its release, without any thought as to whether the movie is any good, or is just another endless rehash of a plot that has worn thin. The Star Wars series comes to mind, with the same storyline and characters having been exploited beyond all reason.

So, sadly, there are some people who will continue to pay the big bucks to see this garbage, even if it’s not all that good, because it doesn’t occur to them that they even have a choice.

    3. What I’ve notice about sequels is that they try to revisit every gag in the original movie and try to outdo it. It becomes very predictable and I don’t find it entertaining, at all. It’s pretty rare for me to spend any money on recently made movies.
