It’s beautiful! Trump tells America that thanks to the inspired cost-cutting and waste-fighting of Elon Musk and the Dept. of Government Efficiency, the government will be able to send out checks for $5,000 each to 78 million American households.
What are the bad guys supposed to do now? “Stop! We are against giving people their money back! We want to dole it out to border-jumpers and teacher unions!” How high do you think that’ll fly?
So… Either they stand there with their teeth in their mouth while Donald Trump soaks up praise and gratitude… or they throw a hissy-fit because taxpayers are getting some of their money back.
Well, we toldja they weren’t geniuses, didn’t we?
Nah, they’ll start crying about “the deficit! the deficit!” — as though they cared about the deficit when they were spending our money hand over fist.

This strikes me a a good idea. It helps people to pay down existing personal debt, or perhaps to make a purchase which will stimulate the economy. Eyes and ears open, on this one.
How come nobody ever thought of this before? Sort of a rhetorical question: they would NEVER give us any of our money back.
I’ve been contemplating a vehicle purchase. If I knew I had an extra five kilo-bucks coming, I’d do it tomorrow.
